A sequoia is exotic in Germany. But Weinheim has so many of them that they call their forest “Exotenwald”.

The pebbles have accumulated on Holy Island (Lindisfarne). I thought the cairns had a cultural or historical significance but no! people just like to make little piles of pebbles.

A fragment of a poppy at the end of its season.

Descending into the depths of … hell? … or a wine cellar? … or an underground passage?

An ideal observing post, high above the market place, looking down on the people enjoying drinks, food, and the beautiful weather … except there is hardly anyone to observe.

Any idea?

I tried to come to Holy Island twice but rain stopped me. Thank you, and I love your point of view photo 🙂

Pity about the weather. Sometimes it can really spoil the best laid plans. – thank you for liking our market place.
