Ten years ago we visited the National Glass Centre in Sunderland, in the Northeast of England. This is were Pyrex glasswares were invented and made.

As interesting as this part of the Centre is, I much preferred the glass blowing exhibiting (which I’ve shown before) and then of course, the art exhibits created from glass.

Naturally there are lots of vases but also simply decorative pieces.
And then there is pure art:

Pyrex still so collectible over here.

Pyrex is amazing. Seeing it brings back so many memories. The glass art is beautiful.

Thank goodness the National Glass Centre in Sunderland is stil open. Its future was in doubt a while back. Nice images here!

I had my first bridge camera then, only a couple of months old. I was pretty chuffed with the results although I think I might do a bit better today.
