It’s hidden in the tagline – my hometown Weinheim (in the southwest of Germany, a mere 20km from Heidelberg) is known as the “two castle town”. Windeck (photos #3+#4) is a ruin approximately 1000 years old. From one of the windows one has a glimpse of the Wachenburg, built about 100 years ago by student fraternities. Photo #1 is taken there, looking east to the Odenwald). And on the next hill is a tower which was built by a farmer in the mid 19th century, that’s the view of photo #2.
