You’ll see a cute puppy –> “Ag, shame.” (ag is pronounced with a long a as in “laugh” and the g is the same sound as in the Scottish “Loch”). Your friend’s son has won a rugby scholarship. –> “Ag, shame!” You tell your friend that your mother-in-law had an accident and is in hospital. –> “Ag, shame!”
