Cornering the decorations

Traditionally corners could display saints to protect the house and its inhabitants,

like these Three Wise Men in Ladenburg.
This old grotesque looks almost like a gargoyle but doesn’t spout water. The name for non-spouting gargoyles seems to be “hunky punk”. Seems fitting.
This barrel rider in Weinheim seems to have fun, too, protecting the people of wine or beer drought.
And then there was this naughty looking chap, also in Oberursel.
