I happen to be at the local cemetery today and noticed this sculpture. I think it is new but I’m not there often so I might be wrong.
It reminded me of other wire sculptures I’ve seen over the years:
The next is really far too small and only displayed on our shelf in the living room but I couldn’t let this theme go without adding the tortoise we bought in Zimbabwe. After all, she stood in the street with many of her brothers and sisters before we decided to take her home.

Oh these are all brilliant examples of wire art. I love your second and last shots the best. Although they are all wonderful 😀

Thanks. Wire art is difficult to photograph that’s why the second one comes of best – it was high up and had only the clouds as background,

I can imagine they are hard to photograph. It is way to hard to get a clear background, You did well Elke. 😀

I can imagine that wire is very hard to photograph – especially if it is near phone or electrical wires! But these are beautiful examples of public art. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

These are all nice. It is lovely that you were able to take that little tortoise into your home! What great remembrance of your travels.
