Last weekend our grandson was with us. Note of caution: Children remember when you tell them that deer watching happens at the break of dawn. They will wake you before dawn to make it happen. We saw one deer, several hares, and the highlight of the morning, even if they were far away: two foxes – and they were, of course, next to a tree.

Yes, it was. And I was really worried that I couldn’t show him anything. I photographed a squirrel in a tree far up (a bad shot) just to show that we saw at least one animal. Once we turned round, we saw a deer, and the foxes, a few rabbits. 😃
