That brings back a memory. In my younger and the first years I lived in Switerland you did not have so much money for a flight from London to ZĂĽrich and so it was always the so-called Arlberg express, I would get the train in Calais after crossing the channel by boat and it would take a direct line downwards to Basel via Lille and Metz. It was the night train and departed at 8.00 in the evening and arrived at 5.00 in the early morning hours.
