The Weschnitz is a smallish river that flows from the Odenwald to the Rhine over a distance of less than 60km. It is believed that it was named after a Celtic and Gallo-Roman river god called Visucius.
The waterfall near Mörlenbach is not a large one but it makes for a good stop on a cycling tour.
