Stairway to Hell

There is a small way of stairs in our hometown – it’s narrow and steep and it’s called hell stairs or possibly stairway to hell.

Once a year, the stairs can’t be used properly. Because there are transformed into a slide.

Pretty hellacious, isn’t it?

    1. As a kid – often. In the afternoon and evenings you had to pay for a go (something like 10 Pfennig or so). So the children who lived close by had many unsupervised goes in the morning. I came home with many slide burns from the wood. Today, of course, it is secured and “unsupervised” is impossible.
