I’m not sure if chair-o-planes or swing caroussel is the right word in English but we call these fairground rides Kettenkarussell or chain caroussels.

I’m glad that my sons/grandsons are now big enough to go on any rides by themselves. I’ve been on quite a few that I would have never attempted on my own but children were only allowed if accompanied. I particularly didn’t enjoy the freefall tower – but I remember the experience even years later.
