I found this green rose chafer (Germans consider him to be golden, we call him gold rose chafer – also known as fiddler beetle, apparently) amongst my flower pots inside. He wasn’t very alert anymore. I gently put him amongst the roses. He died within the hour.

At least his last hour was with someone who appreciated him. He’s a lovely creature.
