This particular alley is from Neustadt an der Weinstraße – where the name says it all: look at the vines overhead. Cars and walkers have to share but consideration widens the path so that everybody gets through.

I was having lunch in Rome in a narrow back street watching those on the outside tables get up and move their chairs so a car could pass. Not my idea of a relaxed lunch. Not many cars but enough to be annoying I think.
We were the only tourists inside 😂
