Hers and His

Today we think of a tiara as an accessory for a princess – even if she is only a carnival princess.

But in years gone by there was only one tiara and that was the papal tiara, the crown worn by the pope – as seen in the centre of this collection of coat-of-arms chisselled in stone at the court of the Bishop of Ladenburg.
