All the time when I grew up the Wachenburg looked down on the town with a muted, reddish brown roof. I don’t know when the tiles were renewed – I don’t have any photos of the brownish tiles – but one day it was bright red. The small tower and the roof of the extension still have the original tiles.

Except at the moment as the castle is wearing a white cover.
