Let’s start with a bouquet of flowers in pleasing orange, yellow, and red.

In autumn the warm colours of a vineyard is full of promise for the warm colours of next year’s wine.

And talking about wine or Wein, this is the view of the old part of town of Weinheim – all those warm, reddish brown rooftiles mirroring the warmth of the inhabitants, hopefully.

And the photo was taken from the castle ruin to the right. In autumn Windeck and Wachenburg look down on Weinheim, late in the afternoon basking the golden, warm glow of the setting sun.

Scratch that. Look at the golden colours of the industrial valley, warm colours enhanced by industrial fumes and chemicals in the air.

Great photos, great colors. Industrial fumes would be warm, wouldn’t they?! Perhaps not an adequate trade off. 😉 🙂

Thank you. What I answered to Forestwood below – Pratchett/Gaiman said it well: ‘There’s one thing you can say for air pollution, you get utterly amazing sunrises.’

That is a gorgeous flower bouquet you posted in the beginning of your post. I also like depth of field in the vineyard photo. Your photos captured warm colors beautifully!

Sunsets can be pretty even with pollutants. Dust is often a contributor to pretty sunsets here. And they are a feast for the eyes. I liked the look of the German village from the castle too. Well done.

I love to quote Pratchett and Gaiman. In “Good Omens” they say: ‘There’s one thing you can say for air pollution, you get utterly amazing sunrises.’ Obviously, that goes for sunsets as well.

Fantastic post. Love the flowers and the sunset at the end, even with all the pollution.

Lovely choices Elke – except, I think, for the pollution. Oh well, at least it offers SOMETHING positive! Loved your flowers especially

I love that you picked the tiled roofs for warmth. That was a great idea, Elke. And the castle view is fantastic. I can appreciate pollution skies. Sadly they look pretty, for unfortunate reason.
