Some Traffic Signs Are More Relevant Than Others

However, these are irrelevant to me:

I’m far too short to hit my head on overhanging branches. Also, I don’t drive a truck.

It’s nice that this place is for dogs who want to swim. I don’t have a dog.

As a German in France, all I see is the invitation or possibly demand to booze. I wonder if the second sign means that only people in wheelchairs should guzzle alcohol or that if you drink like a fish you should sit in a wheelchair, just in case.

  1. Those two top signs are new to me. I’d probably have driven a kilometre or so before I’d worked them out. Also, can dogs read signs? They just swim if they fancy it don’t they?

    1. The top one can be seen often in the north east of Germany where there are many tree lined overland roads. And about the second one: no dog without a leash in Germany – not quite but almost, and at the other end of the leash is usually somebody with rudimentary reading skills 😁
