While looking up storks and their portrayal in fables I found that they are considered to represent peace, happiness, renewal, fertility, birth and rebirth.

I think so. But they can be frustrating to photograph most the time. If they see me unpacking the camera they usually just walk out of range. They don’t fly away, they just step away.
