Not Quite the Peak

That’s the Feldberg tower. The Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest peak in Germany outside the Alps with an altitude of 1493m. It’s a mountain massif, i.e. there are several peaks. When we were there for a weekend in August in 2018 we walked to the highest peak but we had awful weather: there was rain, there was fog, there was hail, and it was freezing. So no photos of the peak or from the peak, which is renowned for its views. On clear days one can see as far as the Bernese Alps in Switzerland.

The day after the weather was fine and here is a view from one of the other peaks, the one crowned by the Feldbergturm.
