I was cycling yesterday and the smell of strawberries was pervasive. Sun, fields, strawberries (and a porta-loo for the field workers) – what else would I want on an early summer’s day? I noticed there were no workers around. Mhm …
So I stopped. And all was explained. So I have to add a photo of what was at my feet:

These strawberry fields are right next to the flooded fields I showed two weeks ago for Jez’ Water, Water Everywhere. The corn is still growing but the strawberries have suffered, hence the strong smell and nobody harvesting.
