Sarah from Travel with Me has chosen Trees as this week’s Monochrome Madness’ Prompt. I went out this afternoon and took many, many photos of trees. Many of them in black and white. Some where okay, some were pretty good (mostly just bark), and many were … meh. And then I went back home and looked at winter trees, i.e. bare. And here they are:

Thanks Brian, I do, too. The others are actually dramatic sunset in orange purple glows. They work in b&w but I felt quite bad to rob them of colour.

I agree when there is so much colour in the sky that the convert to B&W does make a dramatic change

Great minds think alike Elke. Love your trees. I understand what you said about removing the colour. Most of mine were taken against wonderful bright blue skies, which was tricky to convert.
