When I started to take photos a bit more seriously, not just snapping our boys (as adorable as they were, the boys and some of the photos) it was also a transition from analog to digital photography. One of the more startling discoveries for me was taking a photo and having it enlarged on the computer screen. I started to appreciate the tiny things. The delicate little curlicues on a dandelion for example – I had never noticed them before and I now think of this “weed” as a beautiful little flower. Or what looks like a little flower arrangement in a common houseleek plant. And why not go even closer? Into the luminous woods of moss with glowing bulbs and drops and tubes. Beauty I never expected before I picked up a camera. Maybe that’s one explanation why I started collaborating with minikins.
