Sometimes distance is not the kilometres. It’s about five-and-a-half thousand kilometres from our current home to our home in Saudi Arabia but it might as well be on the moon because the rules in Saudi make it very hard to go back. I’m not saying it’s impossible but too complicated for a short look.

The thing is you can’t get in unless you have a sponsor (i.e. an employer). Tourist visas are possible of late but very restrictive and we couldn’t just go there, hire a car and drive by our old neighbourhood.
