Sofia has asked for some nostalgia. Fortuitous timing! A couple of weeks ago I found a folder with CDs with old photos from our time in Saudi Arabia. I had completely forgotten their existence. To look at them was a trip down memory lane. Here are some of these photos.

Our boys and a friend (our boys are the one in the middle and the one to the right) on four wheelers driving the sand dunes of Halfmoon Bay. The Arabian Gulf can be vaguely discerned in the distance.

This photo is from the other side of the Arabian peninsula, the hills in the hinterland of Jeddah. No dunes of finest sand here but it is still a desert.

Still sandy enough for cars to get stuck if they leave the roads. Not ours this time, though.

And so it begins. The players are assembled.

And they are off!
