I’m told in the US is’s called a “marble run” although apparently such toys are not as well known in the US. In Germany, we have marble runs (instead of marbles, sometimes little cars and the like) for very little children and for older children there are very cool. construction toys with bridges, and jumps, and elevators. This one is an outdoor one: the kids can purchase a wooden marble and play as long as they want to, letting the marble roll down a kind of obstacle course.
Well, I’ll be darned. I had to Google this and there it was–Marble Run Games. Yours is so much prettier than the plastic things sold in our stores. Thanks for the info, Elke!
