Ooops … wrong serenity …
Rather than going through my archive and looking for older photos to convey serenity, I decided to go out and experience it. I went for a walk in an area called “The Cold Lord” near Ritschweier in the Odenwald.
It’s a wayside shrine on the crest of a hill where there is usually a cold nip in the air because of wind. I left late, it was already seven in the evening, the light was beautiful and except for two late Sunday cyclists I didn’t see anyone

except for a couple of cows enjoying the view in the evening light together.

After taking in the gentle landscape, I went down on my knees and looked for calmness in the smaller things.

By now the light was slowly fading, so I took in a last look on the lonely apple tree with only its own shadow as company before leaving the hills.
