This stunning tree is in our local botanical garden.

Today’s challenge is a perfect example why I like taking part in photo challenges. I see the prompt and the accompanying photo which I often admire as was the case today. Then I have to research the prompt – sometimes because I don’t know it at all (as was the case today), then I search in my photos but the tags might not fit so I have to find synonyms in German and if I’m lucky I find a good fit. And if I’m even luckier I remember when I took the photo, possibly the people I was with, and anything around that time.
And at the end of the process I can confidently (in bad English) say: Again what learned!

You learned good

Another dogwood I don’t know – Brian had the others.

I have only discovered dogwood trees, and got one to plant in my garden, I’m a bit worried that it isn’t doing well, but I hope it survives so I can take photos like yours. They are beautiful trees.

In German, we don’t cross fingers, we “squeeze thumbs” to wish someone good luck. So here’s squeezing a green thumb!
