In case you’re wondering this community is the worldwide community of hashers. Which has nothing to do with smoking. Our founding fathers ate at a cheap mess house, aka a hash house, hence the name.

Your world woud be much the poorer without that community, wouldn’t it?

Oh yes! But in fairness – because we go out in nature and often to places I don’t know I almost always take my camera. When I meet other friends or family I often don’t take my camera. I find that if I take photos I remain an onlooker rather than a participant. So it is natural that I have many more photos, particularly of people, from these occasions. Also, I would really really really miss being able to speak English if I didn’t have them.
