A Sardinian Morning

I’m not really back yet in my head but when I clicked quickly on Dan’s post I couldn’t not participate in this challenge.

If you’ve read a few posts of mine you might remember that I don’t do mornings; certainly not early mornings. But once a year I make an exception, usually during holidays. And so last week I actually crawled out of bed at dawn to capture a sunrise in Sardinia.

The birds were up even though the sun was not yet up properly.

Just about time.

And here he / she / it comes!

This was the beach before the sun came up. Castelsardo, a village on an outlying hill, can be seen in the dusky distance.

And this is what it looked like when the sun hit.

The lagoon in the early morning sunshine.

      1. Oh, I’ll be back next week for the next theme … oh, it’s DAWN. I should have kept this week’s posting for next week and done a morning post. Darn. Anyway, what I meant to say was: I might try get up early again in the weeks to come. Now I think I’ll have to.
