A beautiful sight

what is winter but
a pastry chef gone crazy
frosting all in sight

― Robin Glasser, haiku from Have Fun in the Snow

“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking Glass

    1. I always compared the 50°+ in Saudi with our cold winter weather. You dress appropriately before you go outside and then you enjoy yourself. After a few hours you come back – either to a cool air-conditioned house to cool down with a refreshing drink or to a nice and toasty room to warm up with a hot tea or other beverage.
