They’ve become very common. I checked up and found out that the first Canada geese were escapees from poultry farms. They have become established during the last 50 years. But Canada may still be on their mind. They were laying about in the snow as if they were down feathers.
They ARE common, aren’t they? Common by quantity and common by nature. They, and Greylags are intent on taking over the world. I wonder if they’ve taken over the White House yet?
They are to some extent considered a pest. Because they sh… well, they leave excrement and where that is not much good can grow. In Frankfurt there are restaurants that have obtained hunting licences for Canada and Egyptian geese and they are being served.
I was just about to browse Reader and then saw how many comments I had to look at but did see yours before switching.
Were they Canadian Geese in Germany on a European vacation? I like the one that is looking at you. It is a good photo Elke 😀

Farm escapees that spread 🙄 I guess they aren’t in pest proportions. I guess the climate suits them

I did think so. Geese and ducks poop isn’t good for the ground
