Whenever I hear the word emergency I have to smile. I had a Swiss friend who kept pronouncing it something like emmer-tchen-see. The rest of his English was actually quite good but he kept insisting on pronouncing it this way, he even had a custom made t-shirt with the German spelling of his pronunciation on it: “Emmertschänsie”.

In the church of Argelès-sur-mer the Templar cross can be found numerous times. For the life of me I don’t know why I didn’t take more pictures or other crosses or why I didn’t include more of the surroundings. Maybe because it was inside the church and I just don’t like to take photos in churches but I honestly don’t remember. The Knights Templar were well represented in the area around Perpignan when they were not off on crusades to the holy land.
