I remember an interview with Meryl Streep quite a few years ago where she was asked about advice she had received from her mother. She mentioned two pieces of advice. I only remember one of them. Her mother apparently told her: “Never go upstairs empty handed.”

As somebody who’s grown up in a house with three levels I concur.

It’s not a great picture, it was snapped in a hurry with my then mobile phone, we were hungry and the meat he had prepared looked and smelled delicious and it turned out to be delicious as well.
If you read some of what I’ve written you might be aware that I’m also known as Knicker Elastic in certain circles, i.e. the Hash House Harriers. As it so happens, when I was hashing in Saudi there was a harriette (i.e. a female hasher) with the the name of Trundle.

So I give you: Trundle and Knicker Elastic, somewhere in the vicinity of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
