Wordless Wednesday
Wordless Wednesday
It might have been sunny on this day but the flag flying in the stiff breeze tells a different story: it’s windy.
Sometimes the wind around this castle ruin – appropriately called Windeck (windy corner) – is so strong that it splits the white and blue flag.
I don’t mind the cold as such – there is proper clothing to protect against it. But what really makes me cold is:
A fierce wind that goes through ones bones is what makes me cold.
What building could have these dour, uniform windows? What could be so rectangular and devoid of any decoration and – dare I say it – charm?
Be careful, though, while you’re thinking somebody might be watching you.

And then you realise: it’s the BKA, the Bundeskriminalamt, the Federal Criminal Police Office, in other words: the German equivalent of the FBI.
