The Wetterhorn
Every mountain in the Bernese Alps seems to be more colossal than the next. This particular one is the Wetterhorn, the Hausberg of Grindelwald that’s the mountain closest associated with the town, it’s practically on the doorstep.

The Odenwald Klub is an organisation which promotes and maintains trails all over this low mountain range.
This is only a small selection, posted on the tower on top of the Tromm with 576 m above sealevel amongst the highest elevations in the Odenwald.

Taking It Literally
Henry and my husband like to butt heads, I guess that makes them both buttinskies.
Henry can be a buttinsky in other ways as well. He is quite opinionated and interrupts when I’m cooking or eating or sleeping.

Fences without the Colour
Leanne mentioned in her weekly Monochrome Madness that she didn’t like a particular fence so I took my cue from there.
It’s an ugly fence but it serves its purpose to keep pedestrians away from the highway.
The fence Leanne didn’t like was near a railway track so here is a different take of “fence & track”.
And because she is Australian I had to add this fence and sign with an Australian flavour. I don’t know what the poor roo did to deserve its place on a sign that warns of “landmines” (a name for doggy poo that can only be considered funny in a land where actual landmines haven’t been seen in a long time).

Pachidermata, from “thick skin”, is an order for mammals no longer used. Where elephants ever thick skinned?
