The Rote Turm in Weinheim has been suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome for many years now. I think there were still storks living there during the summer when I was a little girl. Then the nest was abandoned.
Today there is again a thriving stork population. They have moved away from the town and into the plain, closer to food and company.

I’ve shown these toilet seats before. They are still the best looking toilet seats I was ever privileged to visit so I don’t mind showing them again.
Bonus information: A toilet seat in German is a Klobrille = literally “toilet spectacles”.

I found these two on a roof in village nearby. To Germans, these two called Max and Moritz signify mischief.
Wilhelm Busch wrote and drew the story om 1865 and it is considered the forerunner of cartoons. In German speaking countries they are referenced often, are still standard fare for children. For more information visit wikipedia or look at the original which is now public domain.
