The people of Darmstadt put their first Grand Duke on a really high pole. A really long one. They loved him so much that instead of calling him by his official name Ludewig I they call him “Langer Lui” (Long Louis) still today.

We were in the woods when we came upon some weird trios. The town we were close to is called Dreieich, literally Three Oaks – fitting, isn’t it?
Yes, I do have one. No, that’s not what I meant.
I said from the outset that I would use my bike for this walking square challenge. I now hit 6,000km (that’s over 3,700 miles for the imperials among you). It took me and Wynora Rider (aka: my bike) three and a half years to get to this milestone (BTW: why don’t they call that kilometre stone?)
And this was the direct spot when the counter changed from 5,999 to 6,000. It was the right spot to get somewhat philosophical about it all. This was the street I was on:
