On the First Day of Hogswatch
It’s not quite the carol “On the first night of Christmas my true love gave to me …” – it’s a little bit more nonsense, a bit more foolishness. So I will be doing the 12th nights of Hogwash (DiscworldTM)
And to start off this is not a partridge but a hen – probably not quite a Cornish one but it’s the thought that counts.

🎵 I’m Dreaming of a Grey Christmas 🎵
In the radio they said that the weather we had these past two weeks is quite normal: a cold spell and then warming up before Christmas eve and a few non-descript, greyish festive days happens 7 out of 10 times. It’s a good thing we spend most of the time around the table!
Yuletide with Henry
I don’t have any photos of Henry’s first Christmas with us. I don’t really remember but I suppose I was too busy keeping him away from the decorations.
This was our attempt with a real tree. When it was still standing.
Next we tried the minimalist approach with a tree from Slovenia. It didn’t survive for too long.
Christmas under a glass dome was another attempt to deal with the problem (otherwise known as Henry).
Watch this space what yuletide will look this year in our house. I hope you all have a very merry one.

Season’s Greeting, Every One!
Thanks for all your photos during the past year. And particularly to those of you running challenges for giving us prompts and ideas. I enjoyed showing you my photos and looking at yours. And I’m looking forward to the next year!

Diplomacy – or …?
… divided loyalties?
Rugby fans at a match between Scotland and South Africa with kilts and Springbok sweaters or kilts made of South African material and Scottish tam (including fake ginger hair).
But this fan really was the best: He was wearing a ghillie shirt with a South African cravat underneath. His kilt was made of material featuring the Springbok emblem of the South African rugby union. And the cherry on the top was his sporran made of springbok fur.
