Aesculus hippocastanum, that is, the common horse chestnuts.
Most chestnuts are still up in the trees, in their light-green prickly shell but some have already fallen and the smooth, auburn coloured chestnuts are lying on the ground. One of my favourite signs that autumn is here.


Ceramics, shop signs, letter boxes, car decorations, name signs (I changed the name), windows, sculptures. I love them all! The first tiny elephant is particularly for geriatrix – she knows why.
