Viktualienmarkt in Munich
Munich has an open air food market in the middle of town which is well known, the

Originally, an early farmers’ market it developed into a meeting point for housewives, chefs, gourmets and tourists. Among the more unusual finds are statues of beloved Munich actors from times gone by.
Some of the stalls feature their own sculptures.
And if one is lucky, one might even find what one came for in the first place:

The Seed’s Been Sown
Marsha and Cee have started a new photographic challenge: Photographic Public Art Challenge.
Marsha kicked off with some beautiful freeway art. Let’s make this seed grow and develop!
The house front is a mural on an assisted living centre for people with disabilities called “Pilgerhaus”, pilgrim’s house.
We Were Watching It Burn

On a walk last year, we were on a bridge and we saw these great billows of smoke in the distance. Without the zoom on my camera we couldn’t clearly make out what was burning. It turned out to be this boat which was literally ablaze.
I posted the photo on social media and met haters who questioned my morality posting this, accused me of being a gawker and even of obstructing rescue efforts. I had to post the photo below to show how far we were away and I found newspaper articles to show that nobody was hurt.

What do you think? Should I have walked away and not taken any pictures? At the time, I really didn’t think anybody was in danger (and nobody was).

Getting My Ducks in a Row
I came across three young ducks, one female and two males. The brilliant green blue head feathers of the boys were just growing in, one of them was a bit further along.
Sitting on a Bench
We have this decorative, if rather useless, bench in our garden. Nobody but Henry seems to sit there.
The bench proved to be the perfect stage for Schellhaas, the bear, Grzimek, the monkey, and Tempo and Turbo, the sloths.
And then Henry got interested in his competition.
And he claimed his seat again.
