Burned stone
The Baltic Sea has the richest treasure of amber. In the towns on the coastline amber is omnipresent in museums, jewellery shops and just as a reference. Stralsund was part of the Hanseatic league in the middle ages and the typical ship of the seafaring traders, a cog, was included in the official seal. Jewellers in Stralsund combined these traditions to create this iconic brooch.

Walking without sunshine
I was on a walk this morning, catching the last autumn colours in the plain.
In the vineyards all the grapes were harvested.
On the slopes are more empty vines, leading up to the old quarry.
The forest slowly claims the quarry back. It is now used by paragliders for launching.
And although the weather was suitably grey for an autumn morning, a paraglider was coming down.
