Zu alt, um nur zu spielen. Zu jung, um ohne Wunsch zu sein.

Traditional collage

The method may be more traditional, similar to collages done by school children who glue cut-outs from magazines on a large piece of paper, the message unfortunately is very modern. These are all painted pebbles from a pebble snake which was started during the lock down. It is on a walkway where there are always lots of people, particularly on weekends, but during the lock down it was particularly busy – without being crowded. Distancing was always possible. And I felt I had to add a protective umbrella as my own message.

Wet – pros and cons

Wet grass. It’s easy to forget how important water is.

Like when driving home in pouring rain and just looking forward to getting out of the wet clothes and snuggling down in a warm, dry place.

But sometimes we crave water. This was on the hottest day of that year, after having spent four or five hours in a school PE hall, on the way back to their accommodation. these guys saw a man watering his garden and begged for a cool down. They enjoyed getting wet so much!

Serenity

I think I have to explain my train of thought here.

Serenity – I immediately thought of the Serenity, the spaceship of Mal Reynolds in the cult series Firefly (yes, sometimes I’m a nerd). Mal Reynolds is played by Nathan Fillion who has come to non-nerd fame with the tv series Castle. My hometown is known as the two-castle town (“Zweiburgenstadt”) and in my photo you can see why. I hope the shot conveys the serenity I felt, on a late summer’s evening, just before sundown, with everything quiet and peaceful around me. And so I’ve come full circle.

estival

A summer meadow with flowers close to town deserves a closer look.

Closer.

The flowers are made up of field mustard

and lacy phacelia, mostly.

There are others interested as well

going as close as they can get.

Even butterflies flutter by.
