If you go hiking and running, you’ll get thirsty. If you go hiking and running for many years, you’ll get a lot of thirsty friends. If you go hiking and running and taking photos for many years, you’ll get a lot of photos of friends quenching their thirst. Great memories.

Something different
Hammad decided to present something different for his challenge “Weekend Sky”. I cannot compete with his time-lapse video or any video for that matter but I thought I take up the challenge and go for something different as well.
This pebble is one in the long row of painted rocks that appeared on the walkway around the local lake during the first lockdown. The first rocks were made by children to send out the message of hope and friendship to all the people who were strolling around the lake and it just grew and grew.
A wonderful sky, isn’t it?

Slipping and sliding
In Germany, we wish people a good slide into the New Year: Einen guten Rutsch!
What not all that many people know is that this wish has little to do with a smooth glide or even a giddy one considering current weather conditions and ice on the road but that it comes from the name of the Jewish new year – Rosh Hashanah.
In any language and culture: I hope that the coming year will be kind to all of us!
