It is forbidden to: start and maintain an open fire, not even for barbecuing; to smoke (from beginning of March to end of October); to camp; to leave garbage behind; to use motorised vehicles on the paths without permit. Transgressions will be prosecuted and carry fines of up to 10,000 German Marks.

Another new playground and another balancing labyrinth. I’ve tried it and it’s not easy. I don’t know if children will take to it – on the day I took the pictures it was far too cold and windy, the few children that were there were huddled in the climbing castle.

I find the layering of plumage – in this case of a goose – fascinating. I edited the light in the following shot to emphasize the structure of the different layers and sizes.
