For A Photo A Week, in honour of Women’s Day.
I’ve used the photo before (and the artworks – these are actually two separate installations – have completely different themes). This is what the almost unprocessed photo looks like:

A large living subject. A tree, photographed at night.
A man-made, woman-shaped large subject, made of stone. This is the “floozie in the jacuzzi” of Birmingham, officially known as “The River”.
Almost as large as rocks can get on earth, the Eiger in Switzerland.

If you know Wagner and his Ring cycle, you know about Siegfried and the dragon. The Nibelungen are said to have had their palace in Worms, in the Upper Rhine Plain. So no wonder that images of dragons can be found in the town.
