The eyes have it

Come on, Dad!
Probably not an unusual shot in the US but it is quite uncommon to find such a mannequin in Germany. What made it funny (but I couldn’t get it in the same frame) was the sign on the shop next to it:
It read: “Come on, Dad. Get one for yourself!” Odd.

Howay the lads!
This is St James’ Park, the football stadium in Newcastle-upon-Tyne which last year was hosting matches of the Rugby World Championship. It is in the middle of the city close to the university, Newcastle’s Chinatown, the shopping and business district.
“Howay the lads” (meaning” Come on, boys!”) is the battle cry of Newcastle United.
Fachwerk
Originally, this was meant for Cee’s Black and White challenge – asking for geometrical shapes. I was a bit late and forgot about the black&white part. I found the negative images emphasised the geometry in these various timbered houses so without challenge, just for fun.

These pictures are from a fountain which changes colours. I picked out the ones that were right for the challenge:
Musical chair
In Germany the children’s game is known as “The journey to Jerusalem” – I have no idea why – but the rules are the same. This particular chair might lead you to your own happy place.
