I can’t really show my backside which is definitely my warm place at the moment. I use lots of cushions, some of the ordinary, soft cushions, some of them grain cushion for extra heat. So I’m showing a bench instead, marked specially for retirees, with lots of cushion in a place out of the winds.

I immediately had the Tina Turner song in my head when I read shim (I learned about the other meanings of “shim” only after consulting a dictionary). The line about the shimmy is not even in the official lyrics of “Private Dancer” but Tina Turner adds it like a line of dialogue between the dancer and her customer.
The picture was done by my son for my husband for his sixtieth birthday (so quite some time ago) when he dabbled in caricatures during his teenage years.

I’m have problems with my sciatic nerve. So far it’s purely self-diagnosis. I’ve never had problems like this before.
Why am I telling? Because it limits my time sitting at my pc (sitting anywhere, really) and I will try to post a few things in the next days but I won’t be able to look at other people’s post (unless I get the laptop to work which I can possibly use why sitting in a burrow I made on the settee).
So, I’ve told. The story was untold for the last week or so.
