I’m a Fan of Traditional Costumes
Traditional costume from the Alsace.
Odenwälder and Bergsträßer traditional costume.
Non-specific traditional costume from the South and Southwest of Germany.
These murals in Lindenfels are badly faded, I enhanced them with photo shop. The left picture depicts the traditional costume of Lindenfels in the Odenwald; the right picture shows young women from Moëlan sur Mer in traditional Breton costume. The two towns are twinned.
Another version of Odenwald costume from Neunkirchen, the highest village in the Hessian part of the Odenwald, part of the community of Modautal.
Walking in Ditches
There are allotments looking neglected yet strangely inviting, separated by little paths and ditches filled with water in the middle of Frankfurt, not 500 metres away from the shiny European Central Bank building.

The cold spell in December arrived so fast so that even spiders were surprised by it.

Never Ignore Flour
It’s quite late already because I’ve been out all afternoon and evening following a flour trail. It’s what I do on Sunday afternoons. We usually get quite excited when we see this AQ sign. It stands for “adventure quest” and if you follow the arrow you will find a stash of drinks (possibly little schnapps bottles, possibly beer, always water).
Purplish Yellow
I’m not too fond of purple and yellow, especially when the colours are not clear but kind of dirty and murky.
But then I see something like this, and I can’t help the combination:
