Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge: Rainbow Colors

I don’t remember much about Disney’s Stitch except that what he was doing he did with gusto!
The spa garden in Bad Soden has a little brook running through it. The gazebo in the back is where the spa guests used to “take the water” in times gone by.
Wynona being my bicycle, of course. We have been together for 4444km and less than 2 years. This milestone was reached last week ironically at the same point were I fell and ended up with a light concussion. Which is, on second thought, not all that remarkable since I pass this spot at least 8 times each week on my way to school.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser was an Austrian artist and architect who had a very distinctive and easily recognisable style. One of the houses he designed is in Bad Soden am Taunus, west of Frankfurt, and it’s called “In the Meadows”. Although he stated that straight lines are “godless and immoral” many of the windows are straight, they certainly are here. Anything else would be too expensive I think.

More information about Friedensreich (which, btw, means “rich in peace”) Hundertwasser can be found here (now with the proper link).

Our corner of Germany is usually a bit earlier with spring, so the very first signs – crocus, wild plums, storks returning – have already come. But on Saturday I went for a bike ride and I saw the first hares of the year.
I left them at this point. Privacy, and all that. Spring is well on its way.
