A Forgotten Meeting
In 1812, Ludwig van Beethoven and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe met through Empress Marie Ludovika of Austria-Este in Teplice. This mural commemorates this meeting – and no, I do not know who the men to the left of Beethoven and Goethe are.

We were in Plzeň at the weekend where we passed the General Patton Muzeum. I remembered other museums.

To Draw on
Axel Scheffler was in our town reading from The Gruffalo and other books he has illustrated with the author Julia Donaldson.
The pages of the book were shown on the electronic canvas behind him.
He then proceeded to use it as a traditional canvas to show how he draws the Gruffalo.
This picture is from Zog and the Flying Doctors. Seems like a curious cat.
